As a keen musician, I had the amazing opportunity to take part in training camps with the National Concert Band of the ATC.
The camps consisted of a week of intensive rehearsals followed by large gala concerts at the end of the week. The concerts were attended by high ranking officers such as Air Commodore McCafferty, Commandant of the ATC. They were incredible experiences and also held opportunities to visit sites such as the Officer Training College at RAF Cranwell and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby.
In closing, National Concert Band camps are some of the most memorable experiences of my life and I benefited greatly from them.
